Tassimo Coffee Makers are “Pod” coffee machines meaning that they deliver the coffee via a capsule or “pod”. Each capsules contains a measured amount of coffee, or indeed, tea, chocolate or creamer; just the right amount to make the ideal cup of your chosen beverage. A bar code on the top of the capsule is read by the machine to enable the correct amount of hot water to be forced through the capsule to ensure the correct strength of your drink.
There are a number of pod coffee makers on the market but Tassimo, from Bosch, is probably the most well known. I personally own the TAS4011 and I can honestly say it was one of the best purchases I have made. The speed it produces a cup of coffee is amazing and the drink comes out very hot and remains hot even when milk is added which seems to be unique in automatic coffee makers.
